Dear Golf Travelers,
Welcome to the July 2018 edition of the Asian Golf Nation, the source for news breaking information about golf and golf travel in Asia. Also, unique golf playing tips for SE Asia’s tropical environment, announcements of special tours, updates on boutique golf tournaments for amateur golfers, and some interesting golf traveler feedback are all integral to today’s newsletter.
The summer golf season is in full swing, and I hope you are playing some great golf. Here in South East Asia, after an excruciatingly hot spring, the weather has turned breezy and very pleasant. Danang is sunny and mild, while Hua Hin and Pattaya have overcast skies and ideal golf conditions. The southern islands, together with Malaysia and Singapore, are getting their normal afternoon and early evening showers.
Last month, Hua Hin hosted the 5th edition of Centara World Masters, and it was the best so far. Not only was the weather, courses, and resort all superb, 500 players and sponsors had the opportunity to see ‘The Bangkok Beatles’ and had caddies serenading golfers to the likes of Macarena, YMCA, and Gam Nam Style. Yes, that’s right, it was much more than a great golf tournament, it was a week-long experience of a lifetime. In fact, the week after, 150 lucky golfers competed in the Mercure Ocean Resort Pattaya 2Ball, and the players had a similarly excellent week with picture perfect weather.
If you missed out on these events, don’t worry. We have some boutique tournaments coming up in Danang, Pattaya (yes again), and Chiang Mai. Check out our dedicated tournament website for the best Asian golf weeks.
This summer we are pleased to welcome many new golf groups in particular from Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and India. We're in the so-called ‘low season,’ and with that, we have partnered with the top courses and resorts in all our best destinations to come up with great golf travel deals. Inquire here to find out more details!
While some say that Asia's incredible golf courses are the main attractions, its really the rich cultural experiences and very friendly locals encountered along the way that often leaves the fondest impressions. Just consider the caddie experience, and you will know what I mean.
Anyway, thanks to you, Golfasian remains Asia's top golf operator providing services centered around authentic golf experiences and great value. Your recognition of our quick responsiveness, impeccable attention to detail and tailor-made personalized service is what sets us apart.
